01

Do I need a referral to see a speech pathologist?

Not necessarily. You can get in touch directly, whether you're self-managing an NDIS or NIISQ plan, or paying privately. The only time a referral is required is if you'd like to claim a Medicare rebate, for that you'll need a Chronic Disease Management (CDM), M10 or Better Access plan from your GP.

02

What ages and conditions do you work with?

We work in two areas: children aged 0–6 with speech sound disorders or difficulty understanding and using language, and adults with communication difficulties following a stroke, brain injury or progressive neurological condition.

Do you offer telehealth or home visits?

Yes. We offer clinic-based appointments in Bardon, mobile visits, and Telehealth (online) sessions, whichever suits you best.

04

How is speech pathology funded?

Most clients are funded through NDIS, NIISQ, Medicare (with a GP referral) or private health rebates. We also see privately-funded clients. See our Funding page for the full breakdown.
