Anna qualified with a Bachelor of Health Science (Speech Pathology)(Hons) from Charles Sturt University in 2004, and holds a PhD in speech language pathology. She has 20+ years of clinical, research and tertiary teaching experience, and has worked in public health, hospital, university and community settings.
Anna works with two main groups of clients: young children (0–6 years) with speech sound, language and communication difficulties, and adolescents and adults with cognitive-communication difficulties following a stroke, traumatic brain injury or progressive neurological condition. She sees clients in the clinic, in the community, and via telehealth, and supports NDIS, Medicare and privately-funded clients.
Anna has presented her research nationally and internationally, and has been published in over 35 peer-reviewed papers and numerous book chapters, including work on adult speech pathology practice. She co-developed IMPACT, a treatment resource for cognitive-communication disorders used by speech pathologists working with clients with acquired brain injury.
Anna is a Certified Practising member of Speech Pathology Australia. She is married and the mother of four children.
